A Day in the Life of an Air Comfort HVAC Technician: Serving Fort Oglethorpe, Ringgold, and Rocky Face
Rise and Shine
My alarm goes off at 6:00 AM, and I’m up and ready to tackle another day as an HVAC technician for Air Comfort HVAC. After a quick breakfast and coffee, I hop in my service van and head to our office in Fort Oglethorpe, GA.
Morning Briefing
At 7:30 AM, we have our daily team meeting. Our dispatcher goes over the day’s schedule and assigns tasks. Today, I’m headed to Ringgold for an HVAC installation and then to Rocky Face for a routine maintenance check.
First Stop: Ringgold, GA
By 8:30 AM, I arrive at a residential property in Ringgold. The homeowners have decided to upgrade their old system to a more energy-efficient model. I spend the next few hours:
- Removing the old unit
- Preparing the area for the new installation
- Installing the new HVAC system
- Testing and calibrating the equipment
Lunch Break
Around 1:00 PM, I take a quick lunch break. I usually pack my own lunch to save time and money.
Afternoon Service Call: Rocky Face, GA
After lunch, I head to Rocky Face for a routine maintenance check on a commercial AC system. This involves:
- Inspecting all components
- Cleaning or replacing filters
- Checking refrigerant levels
- Lubricating moving parts
Wrapping Up the Day
As I finish up in Rocky Face around 5:00 PM, I receive an emergency call from a customer in Fort Oglethorpe. Their AC has stopped working on a hot summer day. Being an AC company that prides itself on customer service, I head over to diagnose and fix the issue.
End of Day
By 7:00 PM, I’ve resolved the emergency and head back to the office to file my daily report. It’s been a long but satisfying day, knowing I’ve helped keep our customers comfortable in their homes and businesses across Fort Oglethorpe, Ringgold, and Rocky Face.
As I drive home, I reflect on the variety of work we do at Air Comfort HVAC and feel proud to be part of a team that serves our community so well.
