A Day in the Field Servicing HVAC Systems Across Colorado

Morning Brief – 7:00 AM

The day starts early at Allied Heating & Air Colorado’s headquarters. After checking the day’s schedule on my tablet, I load up my service van with the essential parts and tools needed for today’s appointments. The heating systems in Colorado take quite a beating during our cold winters, so being prepared is crucial.

First Call – 8:30 AM

My first stop is in Castle Rock, where a homeowner reported their furnace making unusual noises. These early morning diagnostic calls are common, especially during the seasonal transitions when systems are first activated after months of dormancy.

Mid-Morning – 10:45 AM

Heading to Highlands Ranch for a routine HVAC maintenance appointment. Preventative maintenance is vital for system longevity, and I take pride in thoroughly checking:

• Belt tension and wear
• Electrical connections
• Filter condition
• Thermostat calibration
• System efficiency levels

Lunch Break – 1:00 PM

Quick stop in Lone Tree between calls. It’s important to stay energized for the physical demands of the job, which often includes navigating tight crawl spaces and lifting heavy equipment.

Afternoon – 2:30 PM

Emergency call in Parker – an AC system failure during a warm afternoon. These urgent situations remind me why we maintain 24/7 availability for our customers. After diagnosing and repairing a faulty capacitor, the relief on the homeowner’s face makes it all worthwhile.

End of Day – 5:30 PM

Final stop in Greenwood Village for an evening maintenance check. As I complete the day’s service reports, I reflect on how each call helps maintain comfort in our community’s homes and businesses.

Working in HVAC services requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to customer service. Every day brings new challenges and opportunities to help our neighbors maintain comfortable, efficient homes throughout the Colorado Front Range.

Remember to schedule your seasonal maintenance to prevent unexpected system failures and ensure optimal performance year-round!
